Entry Requirement
The common regulations for the postgraduate diplomas in the university and in the school of
education shall apply.The following shall be eligible for registration for Postgraduate diploma in social Science research:
i.    Bachelor of Education Degree in a related field with at least Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or its equivalent from Kenyatta University or any recognized institution
ii.    Those with Second Class (Lower Division) may be considered on condition that they
have Grade “C” and above in units relevant to their areas of specialization.

Examination
The course shall be through coursework, examinations and project. The course shall extend over a minimum of one academic year. The students are expected to take 16 units. The project work will be equivalent to two units. The final examinations will constitute 70% of the total marks while continuous assessment will constitute 30%. The pass mark for each course shall be 50%

Certification
Upon completion the student will be awarded a Postgraduate diploma in Social Science.
