Message from Dean

Welcome to Kenyatta University School of Education, our vision is to be a globally competitive hub in the preparation of professional educationalists, mentors and researchers for enhancement of the welfare of humanity. The School has continuously grown from a University College since 1970s and it is the largest School with an enrolment of more than 30,000 (thirty thousand) registered students in various education programmes. This enrollment forms 40/% of the University’s student population. The School attracts a sizeable proportion of students from outside Kenya, in the African Region and beyond.

 Kenyatta University & UNESCO Successfully Holds Peace Education Training

Kenyatta University in collaboration with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - International Institute for Capacity Building in Africa (UNESCO-IICBA), Kenya National Commission for UNESCO (KNATCOM) and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology successfully implemented a ‘Teacher Training and Development for Peace Building in the Horn of Africa and the Surrounding Countries’ project.  KUSA Inter-Departmental Brain Challenge Event

KU Education students held an ‘Inter-Departmental Brain Challenge’ on 19th June, 2018 event. The event organized by KUSA officials was held at the Amphitheatre, and attracted a large number of participants. The students competed on various themes developed by the School such as leadership in education, sustainable development, citizenship, global security trends and new education curriculum, among others. The event was graced by the Dean, chairpersons and academic staff members, School of Education. Winners were awarded.
